If a holiday falls on Saturday, it will be observed on the preceding
Friday; if a holiday falls on Sunday, it will be observed on the
following Monday.
Employees who have completed one or more years of service in a
regular full-time position as of January 1st of each year are eligible
to receive one day off with pay for their birthday. The employee
must be a regular full-time employee on his/her birthday and the
date the paid leave is to be taken.
Vacation
Full-time, regular and probationary employees accrue vacation
leave as follows:

Accrual of vacation begins immediately upon employment with the
City in a regular budgeted position. Employees are allowed to
take vacation only after completing their first six months of
service in a regular budgeted position.
Sick Leave
All full-time regular employees shall accrue fifteen (15) days
sick leave per year. Sick leave may be accrued without limit.
Only full-time regular employee who have completed their first
six months of service in a regular budgeted position are eligible
to take sick leave.
Military Leave
A maximum of ten (10) days per calendar year, paid military leave
will be granted to all regular employees for the purpose of responding
to orders of the military service.
Administrative Leave
All employees who are registered voters are entitled to reasonable
time off to vote in elections.
Court Leave
Court leave will be granted to all employees for the purpose
of appearing as a juror
in the proceedings of a legally recognized court of other body
having power of proceedings.
Emergency Leave
A full-time employee may be granted emergency leave for a period
not to exceed three (3) days in a calendar year in the case of
death in their immediate family.
