Neighborhood Watch

Neighborhood Watch PhotoNeighborhood Watch is a popular way for people of all ages to get involved in their community. It brings groups of local citizens together to address local crime and other community issues. The program uses citizen involvement to secure their own property, to report any suspicious activity, and to be an extension of police eyes and ears. Since its creation approximately 20 years ago, it has brought a dramatic drop in the local crime rate. Neighborhood Watch operates to educate participants in the principles of deterrence, delay, and detection of crime. The program depends on a communication network organized with three levels of participants: the resident, the block captain, and a local law enforcement representative. In 2010, there were 42 neighborhood watch meetings.

Call (817)788-7342, for an appointment to discuss forming a neighborhood watch in your area.
