| Hurst Fire Department's Quint --
The 2008 model Quint has a 75' ladder, 500 gallons of water, tandem rear axle, specialized rescue equipment and most visible is the new red and white paint scheme. This is the first "red" fire apparatus in Hurst since 1972. |

Hurst Fire-Rescue Engine 201 -- This enclosed
cab fire-rescue vehicle responds to all fires, rescues, and
first aid calls in the district. The crew will work 24 hours
at a time and be off to rest for 48 hours. While on duty they
eat, sleep, and respond together as a team. |
| This Pumper truck is the first line of defense
for all structure fires and rescue emergencies. It carries 500
gallons of water, 1500 feet of hose and all tools necessary
for fire fighting. It also has a camera to "see through"
smoke and help locate trapped persons in a building. |

This Ladder truck has a 75 ft. ladder, carries
500 gallons of water with hoses to work high-rise fires in tall
buildings. It carries specialized tools for rescuing persons
in distress and the crew has specialized training for any emergency. |
| This Medic unit carries two paramedics to all
first aid and fire calls in their district. Most first aid calls
need life-saving skills that these medics learn. They spend
over 800 hours, including working in a hospital emergency room,
to become a paramedic. |

This Ambulance is a rolling emergency room, with
everything needed to save lives! It makes over 2000 calls each
year and can be at your house in 4 minutes. |
