Brookside Center

The Brookside Center, 1244 Brookside Drive, is available for rental by the public or private organizations when scheduled activities or classes are not in session. The Brookside Center can be rented for activities such as meetings, luncheons, banquets, and receptions. It is approximately 3,885 square feet and has the capacity for 234 people. The center is equipped with a full kitchen, including a dishwasher, microwave, stove, refrigerator, and ice machine. It also has a wood burning fireplace as well as a podium, sound system, and video screen. Included are twenty-eight 60” round tables, twenty-four 6’ rectangular tables and 200 chairs. Brookside Rental Fees & Cancellation Policy

All reservations must be made in person at the Recreation Division Administrative office during regular business hours (Monday/Wednesday/Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Tuesday/Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) All rental fees must be paid in full at the time of reservation.

A complete list of rental Policies and Procedures will be provided at the time of reservation.

Cancellation Policy

Date or Time Slot Changes: $25 administrative fee for each change.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday, & Holiday Rentals:

• Cancellation 90 or more days prior to event: Full refund of all fees paid minus $25 administrative fee.
• Cancellation 31 to 89 days prior to event: 50% refund of all fees paid.
• Cancellation 30 or less days prior to event: No refund.

Monday through Thursday Rentals:

• Cancellation 10 or more business days prior to event: Full refund of all fees paid minus $25 administrative fee.
• Cancellation 6 to 9 business days prior to event: 50% refund of all fees paid.
• Cancellation of 5 or less business days prior to event: No refund.

Please note that no alcoholic beverages are allowed in the facility or on the premises, including the parking areas. Additionally, the use of any tobacco products is prohibited in the Center. Room set-up and clean-up are the responsibility of the renter.

The Hurst Recreation Center

The Hurst Recreation Center, 700 Mary Drive, is available for rental when scheduled activities are not in session. The following time slots are available:

All reservations must be made in person at the Recreation Division Administrative office during regular business hours (Monday/Wednesday/Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Tuesday/Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) All rental fees must be paid in full at the time of reservation including a refundable $50 damage deposit. A complete list of rental Policies and Procedures will be provided at the time of the reservation.

Please note that no alcoholic beverages are allowed in the facility or on the premises, including the parking areas. Additionally, the use of any tobacco products is prohibited in the Hurst Recreation Center. Room set-up and clean-up are the responsibility of the renter.

Park Pavilions

All pavilions are under the jurisdiction of the Hurst Parks and Recreation Department and may be reserved on a space available basis by individuals, organizations, and churches for a fee of $35.00 per pavilion. The park pavilions can be used for activities such as company picnics or family reunions. Lights and electrical service are available for the pavilions. To use this service, a $50 refundable electrical deposit is required.

Park Pavilions available for rental include:

Central Park Pavilion:
700 Block of Mary Drive (East of Hurstview, South of Pipeline) – this pavilion is located in Central Park and holds approximately 35-40 people. It comes equipped with 3 picnic tables.

Chisholm Park Pavilions: (3)
2200 Norwood (Between Harwood and Grapevine Highway) – Chisholm Park has three pavilions to choose from, including the Tejas, Longhorn, and Bluebonnet. Each comes equipped with picnic tables and a grill.

Echo Hills Pavilion:
500 Heneretta (East of Hurstview, South of Evergreen) – This pavilion is located in Echo Hills Park and holds approximately 35-40 people. It comes equipped with 3 picnic tables.

Hurst Community Park Pavilion:
601 Precinct Line Road (South of Pipeline) – This pavilion is located in Hurst Community Park and holds approximately 35-40 people. It comes equipped with 3 picnic tables.

Mayfair Park Pavilion:
1725 Norwood – This pavilion holds approximately 30 people. It comes equipped with 4 picnic tables.

Redbud Park Pavilion:
525 Redbud Drive (Between Hurstview & Precinct Line) – This pavilion is located in Redbud Park and holds approximately 35-40 people. It comes equipped with 3 picnic tables.

Rickel Park Pavilions: (2)
1001 Bluebonnet (Just North of Hwy. 10) – Rickel Park has two pavilions, the Spindletop and Lonestar. Each holds approximately 35-40 people and comes equipped with 3 picnic tables.

Smith Barfield Park Pavilion:
This pavilion is located in Smith Barfield Park and holds approximately 35-40 people. It comes equipped with 3 picnic tables.

Vivagene Copeland Park:
This pavilion is located in Vivagene Copeland Park and holds approximately 34-50 people. It comes equipped with 3 picnic tables.
