Court Appearances
If you wish to plead guilty or no contest to the
charge and pay the fine [click here
for a schedule of fines and court costs], or if not listed,
a fine can be quoted by telephone at 788-7045 (Monday through Friday,
8 a.m. to 5 p.m.). This fine must be paid on or before the 21st
day after receipt of a citation by either:
- (a) appearing at the
Municipal Court, 1505 Precinct Line Road and paying the fine and
court costs in cash, money order or a check on a Texas bank, or
- (b) mailing a money order or check to Hurst Municipal Court, 1505
Precinct Line Road, Hurst, Texas 76054. Do not mail cash. or

If you mail payment, you must complete and sign an Appearance,
Plea of Guilty/No Contest and Waiver and mail that form with your
payment. You may either complete and sign the Plea form on the back
side of your copy of the citation, or you can print a copy of the
form from this website. [click

If you desire to plead not guilty, you must appear in person
at the Municipal Court, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00
p.m. on or before the 21st day after receipt of the citation. Court
dates are not set by telephone or by a person other than the one
receiving this citation. No case will be disposed of by telephone
or by correspondence. [click here for

Failures to Appear
If you fail to appear in answer to this charge or in violation
of your Promise to Appear, a warrant will be issued for your arrest
after the 21st day. An additional fine amount and warrant fees may
be added to your fine and court costs. And, a Failure to Appear
charge may be filed which constitutes a separate offense with an
additional fine and fees.
You may be denied renewal of your drivers license if you fail to
appear as required by law for the offense charged herein or if you
fail to pay the fine for violation of a traffic law.
Although not required by law, a notice that a warrant has been
issued will be mailed to the address provided on the citation when
a warrant is issued. Also, your name and selected information is
entered into a regional law enforcement database. You are subject
to arrest by any agency that accesses that database until you have
paid or posted bond for the warrant amount.
