Registered Sex Offenders
Under Texas law, adult and juvenile sex offenders convicted or adjudicated after September 1, 1970, are required to register with the local law enforcement agency within whose jurisdiction they reside. The information collected includes the following: the person's full name, each alias, DOB, sex, race, height, weight, eye color, hair color, SSN, driver's license number, shoe size and home address; photograph, fingerprints, the type of offense the person was convicted of, the age of the victim, the date of conviction, and the punishment received and current status. The law also requires the law enforcement agency registering the convicted offender to notify the public of the offenders presence in the community through a notice printed in the local newspaper.
An offender must register within 7 days of arriving at an intended residence or within 7 days of an intended move. Annual updates of information are also required. Sexually violent offenders must register for the duration of their life.
Currently, the City of Hurst has 63 registered sex offenders. To obtain information about sex offenders registered in the City
