City of Hurst Winter Storm Update (pdf)
It is estimated that more than 5700 residents in the mid cities are without power and a large number of trees and limbs are down due to the record breaking snowfall. Residents who are without power should call Oncor to report the outage at 888.313.4747. Oncor is calling in additional help from inside and the state to restore power to area residents as quickly as possible.
Senior citizens or disabled persons who have tree limbs or debris blocking their driveways or points of access should call 817.788.7267, 817.788.7025 or 817.788.7029 for assistance. For these persons city staff will go on private property for medical assistance or to assist with debris blocking driveways and/or vehicles. If limbs are over a resident’s service line city staff cannot assist. In such a situation residents should immediately call Oncor. City staff will require verbal permission to assist with any debris removal off of vehicles. This assistance only applies to elderly or disabled persons that are in emergency situations.
All other residents with downed trees and/or limbs at this time should get limbs to their front yard if possible. City staff is currently finalizing a drop off point for debris to assist in clean up efforts. |
