The "Good Neighbor" Guide answers the most frequently asked questions about Hurst's building and property ordinances. Please use it to make sure that your property is in compliance, and that you are doing your part to be a good neighbor.

2011 Fall Clean Up Days

October 8 - Zone 1
October 15 - Zone 2

Open: 7 a.m. to Noon each date.

Drop-Off Site Location: parking lot of Bellaire Shopping Center on Pipeline Road. Please enter from the east end of the parking lot and exit on to Brown Trail. Questions? Call 817-788-7088.

The City of Hurst is once again offering free Clean Up Days. In an effort to reduce trash and debris in our neighborhoods, you are invited to bring any of the following items:

  • Any non-hazardous bulk items such as scrap metal, loose brush, old fencing material, or other debris will be accepted. (NO commercial debris).
  • Household hazardous waste material such as oil, chemicals, and paint will be collected during this event.
  • We are pleased to again offer document shredding and a new service, electronic equipment recycling, including computers, TV’s, DVD’s & cell phones. Bring your old tax returns & other personal papers as well as your old computer and really protect your identity.

ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED

  • Tires
  • Batteries of any kind
  • Gun ammunition
  • Construction materials such as shingles and sheet rock
  • No more than six (6) fence panels will be accepted unless a building permit is shown for the address on water bill and driver's license.
  • Brick and rock need to be containerized
  • Explosives
  • Compressed gas
