The Engineering Division of the Public Works Department is responsible for the infrastructure, engineering, civil construction, floodplain and erosion control activities. This Division is also responsible for reviewing and/or preparing construction plans, issuing permits, and inspecting new construction. Staff also oversees city infrastructure project design and construction. Our goal is to complete quality construction projects with budgeted cost and on schedule.

The Engineering Division also reviews and prepares long-range capital planning for infrastructure. The Geographic Information System (GIS) staff within the Engineering Division maintains the City's maps and analyzes spatial data.
