Smith-Barfield PlaygroundSmith-Barfield Park

Smith-Barfield Park is located at 640 Pleasantview. Covering almost 7 acres, the park was established in 1973. A pedestrian bridge has recently been added connecting the baseball/softball field and tennis court sections of the park with the playground area. Smith - Barfield Park is open daily from 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
The Smith-Barfield Park has 1 pavilion for rental to the public. The pavilion holds approximately 35-40 people and comes equiped with 3 picnic tables. All pavilions are under the jurisdiction of the Hurst Parks and Recreation Department and may be reserved on a space available basis by individuals, organizations, and churches for a fee of $35.00 per pavilion. All reservations must be made in person at the Recreation Department office during regular business hours (Monday/Wednesday/Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m and Tuesday/Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) For further information on renting a pavilion, please visit our Facility Rentals page.
