Codes Appeals and Advisory Board

Powers and Duties

Any person aggrieved by any interpretation of the Code or by any decision or ruling by the Building Official shall have the right to make an appeal to the Codes Appeals and Advisory Board.
The Board shall review and submit to the City Council its recommendation for the adoption of the Uniform Building, Plumbing, Mechanical, Fire, and National Electrical Codes prior to adoption.

Number of Members	Seven (7) regular members: two (2) members registered as electrical contractors or master electricians; two (2) members holding licenses as plumbing contractors or master plumbers, two (2) members with building construction experience; one (1) member of the general public; and two (2) alternate lay members.
Quorum	Four (4) members of the Codes Appeals and Advisory Board shall constitute a quorum, and any action shall require the vote of at least four (4) members.
Term	Two years for regular members - one year for alternate members
