ac fanFans to Help Beat the Heat

The Hurst Fire Department and Police Community Services are working together to provide a better quality of life to Hurst residents who have a special need. Several fans have been generously donated to the fire department to be delivered to residents that do not have air conditioning. If you know of someone that lives in Hurst and needs special assistance due to the heat (especially seniors or small children), contact Patty Gurley at 817.788.7238 or Evelyn McAmis at 817.788.7342.
We can deliver a fan and have members of the COPS program check on their welfare. We're doing more to make life better for you.

YIG photoYouth in Government Program Sign-up

The City of Hurst Youth in Government Program is a dynamic group created by the Hurst city council that gives the city’s youth a unique opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at local government. This program, in it's ninth year, will kick off in October. Students who are Junior level or above can apply. Students will not only learn about subjects that involve youth issues with municipal government, but they will also gain the needed experience for many programs such as International Baccalaureate, Senior Projects, Texas Scholars, and much more. Download the application here.

CPR logoCommunity Powered Revitalization (CPR)

For the past three years, volunteers from local churches and businesses have come together to help struggling families make repairs to their homes in an effort known as the Euless Revitalization (ER) Program. Due to the amazing growth and community support of the ER Program other cities have expressed interest in expanding the program into their neighborhoods. With these new partnerships the name of the program has been changed to reflect the nature of the work that is being done. Therefore, the ER Program will now be known as the Community Powered Revitalization (CPR) Program. Our first repair project will take place in October in Hurst and Euless neighborhoods. Read more here and download an application packet on that page too.

Conference CenterTransforming Hurst: A Vision for the Future

The City of Hurst is transforming in a big way. With vacant land as a rare commodity, Hurst got creative in coming up with innovative ways to continue to develop and redevelop the City. In an effort to keep Hurst on the forefront of development in the area and provide a stable tax base for the future, the progressive Hurst City Council and staff identified three corridors of the city as areas with the potential to redevelop structured business retail and residential growth: West Pipeline Road, Hurst Town Center and the Bellaire Shopping Center. Continuing to build on tradition and planning for the future are what will keep the City of Hurst an area leader in development. Visit the Transforming Hurst Website to see and learn more. The Hurst Conference Center is opening soon! For information on rates, amenities and menu options click here.
